Solid wall insulation.

  • Internal wall insulation is the process of installing insulation within your internal property walls – also known as dry lining - is an effective way to reduce heat loss.

External wall insulation is installing a layer of insulation to the outside walls of your home. It creates a blanket around your home, restricting heat loss in the winter and keeping you home cooler in the summer.

  • Average households with internal wall insulation make savings between £150 and £300 a year, depending on size of the property.

An average property would save up to £255 each year on energy bills from external wall insulation.

  • Internal wall insulation is done by fitting rigid insulation boards to the wall, or by building a stud wall filled in with insulation material such as mineral wool fibre. This process is straight forward and can be completed in as little as a day. Complex properties can take up to a week.

External insulation is completed by fitting polystyrene insulation boards around the outside of your property. These boards are then rendered and finished making your property more draft proof, damp proof, comfortable, and looking brand new. This process generally takes up to 10 working days to complete. We can give you a clearer idea of timeframes once your house has been inspected.
